Simple Yet Sophisticated Overnight Oats You Need to Make for Your Soul

Cate's Overnight Oats

Rise and shine, breakfast champions! Are you tired of the same old boring breakfast routine? Well, get ready to shake up your taste buds and energize your mornings with a hip and happening trend that’s taking the culinary world by storm: Overnight Oats!

Imagine waking up to a bowl filled with creamy, flavorful goodness that’s been patiently soaking and mingling in your fridge while you peacefully slept. It’s like having a breakfast fairy work its magic while you catch some z’s. Talk about efficiency!

Now, let’s get down to business and whip up a batch of these overnight sensations. Grab your apron and let’s dive into the action!

First things first, grab a sturdy mason jar or a groovy reusable container- we’re all about sustainability here. Drop in some rolled oats like a boss. These are the superheroes of grains, packed with fiber, protein, and a whole lotta goodness. They’ll keep you full and satisfied till lunchtime. If you prefer steel cut oats, you’ll need to soak them for at least 2 days as they are much harder and chewier

Next up, splash in some liquid courage! Whether it’s almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk, or good ol’ dairy, make it rain, my friend. Pour it in and watch those oats swim in deliciousness. Don’t be stingy now, you want those oats to be thoroughly drenched. Our favorite plant-based milks are Earth’s Own, which comes in a variety of flavours of Almond Milk and Oat Milk that’s silk smooth and oh so delish!

Chia seeds are epic omega power and as they gel, they make for a pudding-like perfection! If you’re in the mood for some flax, sesame, or pumpkin action, these can be added at the end for an extra boost!

Next it’s time to unleash your inner mixologist. Add a splash of vanilla extract for a touch of sophistication, a sprinkle of cinnamon for a warm and cozy hug, or some grated lemon for a zesty kick!

When a dash of extra sweetness is the quest, choose your weapon: brown sugar, maple syrup, honey, or agave, for a flavorful victory in your bowl of awesome overnight oats!

Now comes the fun part! It’s time to get creative with your toppings. Grab a handful of fresh berries, a sprinkle of crunchy nuts, or even a dollop of creamy nut butter. The sky’s the limit, so don’t hold back!

Once you’ve assembled your masterpiece, pop on the lid and let it work its magic in the fridge overnight. It’s like a sleepover party for your oats! While you catch some Z’s, the oats and flavors will mingle and dance, creating a harmonious symphony of taste.
